Bulbs, corms, and tubers are often grouped under the generic heading of “bulbs”
when it comes to general care and planting. One thing they all have in common is that planting them to the correct depth in garden soil or compost can be critical to how well the plants will grow and whether or not they will flower.

These gladiolus corms should be planted to three times their own height, to provide extra support.
